Getting started

I have had 2 years of high school Spanish, which was quite a while ago. I took a "survival spanish" class recently that lasted 6 weeks. I have the Rosetta Stone program. I have several books and dictionaries as well. I have flashcards and bilingual storybooks. I would love it if my kids could be bilingual. Their brains are supposed to be big learning sponges right now. Ideally, I would like for us to learn together, but I am afraid I would help them learn something incorrectly. I could make it fun for the whole family!!!! Woohooo!!! My husband will be thrilled...

Hola.

This is about accountability. I am going to learn Spanish. As of now, I know enough Spanish to be dangerous. I often have people that come into work that speak Spanish. I want to have the ability and the confidence to be able to have a conversation with them and help them. I chose Peggy Hill my hero for the name of my blog because I love King of the Hill, and I aspire not to speak Spanish like Peggy Hill. Surprisingly, I have learned several Spanish words watching Dora the Explorer incessantly. Adults really can learn another language (I hope). So, vamonos. I shall learn Spanish and let you know how it is going along the way.
